Nearly 6 months into the year, 6 events completed, and 6000 pounds given to local charities.  Beneficiaries were Palatine School ( 2000 pounds to their appeal to get new minibuses with tail-lifts), Ashdown playgroup ( 1000 pounds to help run the playgroup ), Sussex Air Ambulance ( 1000 pounds),  Queen Alexandra Hospital Home ( 1000 pounds), Sompting and Lancing Royal British Legion ( 1000 pounds).

The selected charities were nominated by the group members. In addition the proceeds from marshalling the Arundel St Georges day parade were given to St Barnabas Hospice.

So what is coming up this year?  Another 22 events on the calendar, you can see us at the Worthing Carnival procession, Chestnut tree open days and also their 10K race in Littlehampton, we will be helping at the St Barnabas Night to Remember to name but a few.

Thanks are due to all the members who take part to raise this money and to the Explorer units who support us on large events. With Health and Safety requirements becoming ever stricter a lot of organisers are unable to hold their events (and thus raise much needed funds) without having marshalling groups like us to help them.
